Be cautious of the pink colored blood vessel, or quick, in each nail and trim only the nail tip. The quick may be difficult to see in the dark nail. Place tip of nail between the two blades and trim. Make sure to cut the nail tip at the angle depicted below. cutting nails too short may cause bleeding. if you cut the quick, apply a coagulant ( sold separately) to help stop the bleeding.
